Cycling on the rails
If you fancy a fun activity with family or friends, getting out into nature and discovering landscapes shaped by railway history, then we invite you to try the draisine experience at Minett Park in Fond-de-Gras. Over a distance of around three kilometres, you can travel along the old railway line using the power of your legs, and discover landscapes shaped by the industrial and mining past between Fond-de-Gras and Bois-de-Rodange.
Although it may not seem like it, the experience relies on genuine teamwork, as the draisine, a rail bike, allows the effort to be shared and can accommodate up to four people, two of whom pedal at the same time. But don’t worry, very little effort is required, and the activity is truly suitable for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest members of your group.
The activity is usually available in summer, during the months of July and August. The ride lasts around 45 minutes. Depending on the day, it is sometimes possible to buy tickets directly on site, without a prior booking. Now all you have to do is climb aboard and enjoy a trip that is both picturesque and active on this mode of transport that is as original as it is unforgettable.
Travel and gravel

This cycling culture has recently been further enhanced by the rise of gravel biking. A journey to the sky
Fancy reaching for the sky and taking in a 360-degree view ofLuxembourg’s beautiful countryside? Then climb into a hot-air balloon and take off on a peaceful aerial adventure. Thanks to this quiet electric vehicle, you can weave your way through the capital and its old town, navigating historic lanes and alleyways, picturesque and modern neighbourhoods, and lush green landscapes. The "Luxembourg by night" tour, which lasts around two hours, runs from April to September. It covers approximately a distance of 13 to 15 km and passes by the Philharmonie, the Mudam, the Musée des Trois Glands, the Red Bridge, the lift to Pfaffenthal, the Place d’Armes, the Grand-Ducal Palace, the Cité Judiciaire, the Parc de la Pétrusse, Neumünster Abbey and the Grund.
