LUGA - Luxembourg Urban Garden: balancing art, nature and urban planning

Do you like urban gardens and artistic landscape design? Are you curious to find out more about the most innovative agricultural projects? In which case, LUGA – Luxembourg Urban Garden is the event you cannot afford to miss in 2025! Under the motto "Making the invisible visible", this open-air exhibition invites visitors to explore the unprecedented depths of the urban ecosystem and reflect upon how cities should evolve in the future. A vast programme awaits you from 7th May to 18th October in the most iconic venues in Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck. Moreover, many of the events are free.
LUGA 2025: making the invisible visible
LUGA is an ephemeral exhibition which takes place from 7th May to 18th October 2025 in several public green spaces in the heart of the green belt of the City of Luxembourg and the City of Ettelbruck in the Nordstad. Organised for the first time in Luxembourg, this exhibition is an open-air laboratory brimming with ideas. It is also a platform for the exchange of information and experimentation, where visitors can contribute to a collective debate on the future of our cities.

- 4 design categories: urban gardens (38), landscape and artistic designs (10), agricultural projects (8) and living spaces (4)
- 5 sites: Edouard André municipal park, Pétrusse Valley, Alzette Valley and Kirchberg (City of Luxembourg) and Nordstad/Ettelbruck
- 15 major themes and fields of interest: environment, agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, food, biodiversity, heritage, arts, culture, well-being, sustainable development, circular economy, social inclusion, technological innovation and tourism.

- Organisers: Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, the City of Luxembourg and the City of Ettelbruck, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Horticultural Federation.
With its motto, "Making the invisible visible", LUGA offer an open invitation to explore the more unknown facets of the ecosystems of Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck. Moreover, it illuminates the pathway towards developing greener, more sustainable cities that are more respectful of our planet.

- The Four Seasons – Tanz!: a participative dance project based on the theme of the climate and the connections between humans and our environment.
- Wildkräuterworkshop: walking workshops to gather wild herbs and then transform them into different products depending on the herbs collected.

LUGA Campus
The exhibition is an invitation to explore the city in a non-conventional way and to appreciate it as a space enduring constant change where nature, human activity and urban planning co-exist. To ensure younger audiences can fully immerse themselves in the event, the LUGA Campus offers activities specially designed for learning.
