Three questions for...

Priyanka Meena, Director of Operations and co-founder of Exploreo, winner of the "Best Innovation" award.

Congratulations! Exploreo has been recognised for its achievements in tourism innovation. What motivated you to enter the Luxembourg Tourism Awards, and how does this recognition fit in with your mission?

After spending a year developing Exploreo, we wanted to show Luxembourg what we were creating. This award confirms our belief that technology and sustainability can transform travel. It also helps us enormously when we talk to partners and investors, because being recognised as the best innovation gives our small team real credibility in a competitive market.

The Luxembourg Tourism Awards recognise initiatives that strengthen regional identity and tourism impact. How do you see Exploreo's contribution to local communities and destinations, and what role does this award play in amplifying your platform's influence?

We are launching a B2B partners programme to work directly with local providers, regional outdoor guides and small tour operators who have stories to share. We want to highlight Europe's outdoor adventures and slow travel itineraries that preserve the value of destinations. This award increases our visibility and supports the development of these partnerships.

Since its creation, Exploreo has positioned itself as a platform dedicated to eco-friendly and responsible travel. Looking ahead, what are your plans in terms of development, innovation or expansion that will further strengthen Exploreo's role as a leader in sustainable tourism?

We are working with Luxembourg institutions on a rigorous carbon methodology and developing AI-based sustainable travel tools. We are expanding our coverage of night trains. The goal is simple: to make Luxembourg a recognised hub for innovation in sustainable tourism, proving that responsible travel can be both easy and inspiring.

We would like to thank Priyanka Meena for granting us this interview.

Exploreo

Exploreo is a sustainable travel platform that allows users to book eco-friendly accommodation and activities, while automatically calculating and offsetting the carbon footprint of each stay. Each booking contributes to reforestation projects, and users can track the planting of their trees in a "virtual forest". The selection includes responsible hotels and cottages as well as local experiences that promote encounters with communities and the preservation of landscapes. The platform also protects privacy through secure servers.
