Cost of living

Luxembourg on a daily basis - expensive or cheap?

Prices vary considerably from one area to another

Yes, let’s talk about money! The subject is complex and subjective, but one thing is certain: any consumer wants to get value for money.

In general, the prices of consumer goods and services in Luxembourg are at a fairly high level, and above the European average.

Lower prices in other areas

However, the tendency is different in other areas. Thus, the prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, cars and fuel and consumer electronics, that is to say, televisions, computers, mobile phones, etc are lower than on average.

But let us turn to practical things. To guide you through the price jungle, we have drawn up a list of the indicative prices of a series of everyday consumer goods together with current housing prices. See for yourself!
