Green spaces, excellent sports infrastructures, but also opportunities for relaxation and recreation guarantee a high quality of life.
The large municipal park designed by French landscape architect Edouard André (1840-1911) and the Petrusse Valley invite to walks in a green and enchanting environment. A quarter of the 5,173 hectares that make up Luxembourg City is occupied by green spaces waiting to be discovered on foot or by bike.
Right outside the capital, two large forests invite you to unwind and to pursue sporting activities: the 'Bambësch' and the 'Gréngewald', which is the largest wooded area in the country.
According to international benchmarks, Luxembourg City is among the safest, the most liveable and the greenest cities in Europe.
