The Export Award, an initiative of Office du Ducroire and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, is an award presented every two years to Luxembourg SMEs which have made an outstanding contribution through sustainable development at an international level. The aim of this award is to encourage Luxembourg companies to conquer international markets.
The three winners of the 2018 edition will be presented with a trophy, the right to use the title 'Winner of the Export Award 2018' and the following rewards: a prize of 15,000 for first place, 10,000 for second place and 5,000 for third place.
Conditions for participation
Interested companies can submit their application by 15 April 2018 at the latest. All economic activities are permitted, provided that the company has the objective of being active in international markets. Companies can register using a form available on the Export Award 2018 website. Any success story must have taken place in the past two years, whether it's the conquest of new markets, an innovative marketing strategy, international cooperation or the creation of a joint venture.
In order to take part in the contest, the company must fulfil the criteria of an SME according to the European Commission's definition: employ less than 250 people, have an annual turnover of less than €50 million or an annual balance sheet total of no more than €43 million.
The winners of the 2018 edition of the Export Award will be presented with their prizes on 13 June 2018 during a ceremony at the Chamber of Commerce in Kirchberg, attended by HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke, the Minister of the Economy Etienne Schneider, the Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna, as well as the economist Euler Hermes, Carlo Thelen, Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Arsène Jacoby, President of Office du Ducroire.
