On 14 and 15 November, the Chamber of Commerce is going to host the 2017 edition of the Luxembourg Internet Days, during which ICT professionals are going to come together to talk ICT in the business world.
The event, which is being organised by LU-CIX (LUxembourg Commercial Internet eXchange), Luxembourg's internet exchange hub, also stages conferences, round-tables, presentations and high-quality networking events.
The headlining topics are the digitisation (14 November), i.e. the digital transformation of companies, and the processes implemented to encourage companies, starting with SMEs, to get started. The entailing structural transformations are another topic. One of the central questions will be how companies can make the most of the digital world in which they operate, regardless of the sector of activity.
Better to prevent ...
The other subject, certainly a bit more technical, revolves around Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks (15 November), cyberattacks aimed at rendering the services unusable. According to the organisers, many explanations and much information will be provided on this subject.
The SME decision-makers will be able to discover for free the range of the possibilities offered by the digitisation, to roleplay a crisis situation, and to discuss or to validate their protective strategies.
The 2016 edition was a great success, bringing together some 1,000 participants from more than 400 companies with a dozen renowned speakers, according to the initiators. The 2016 Internet Days were dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as the Blockchain technology.
