At the end of September 2017,4.037,14 billion euros of net assets were under management in investment funds in the Grand Duchy – a new historical record. This represents an increase of 7.9% since the beginning of the year.
Denise Voss, Chairman of theAssociation of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI), welcomes the good performance of the sector, explaining that this significant increase in assets under management demonstrates the trust by asset managers, fund distributors and by investors in the Luxembourgish fund centre..
Luxembourg, a world leader in the fund sector
4,110 funds are currently domiciled in Luxembourg, making the Grand Duchy the second largest fund domicile in the world after the United States. ALFI is talking about a spectacular asset growth, from three to four trillion euros in less than three years. Today, Luxembourg funds are distributed in 70 countries around the world, thanks to roadshows that ALFI has undertaken over the years on all continents.
