It's a date for blues lovers: On Saturday, 9 July Differdange will be vibrating with the Blues Express. Forty international, regional and Luxembourgish musical groups will perform on 11 stages that will be located on two sites, one in Fond-de-Gras and one in Lasauvage. The public will be able to enjoy performances by renowned artists, free of charge. For the 2016 edition, Robben Ford (USA), Blues Pills (Sweden), King King (UK) and Rachelle Plas (France) are the planned headliners.
Not only blues music fans will be well spoiled. A number of art exhibitions, the 'Eugène Pesch' museum, and the museum area at Lasauvage are also open for the publc. In addition, you will have the opportunity to use the 'Minièresbunn', a quasi-historical souvenir of the times when mining was the mainstay of the Luxembourg economy. Plus, the village fair of Lasauvage takes place that weekend.
Moreover, the 'Minièresbunn', as well as the many shuttles, buses and trains are available for free throughout the night. Public transportation, just as the festival itself, is completely free of charge.
What are you waiting for? See you on Saturday, 9 July in Differdange! And should you have gotten a taste of the blues, do not miss the Blues'n Jazz Rallye, flagship event of blues and jazz in Luxembourg, which will rock the capital on 23 July 2016!
