On 29 March 2016 the Ancienne Belgique in the centre of Brussels will rock to the beat of bands from the Grand Duchy at a 'Luxembourg Sounds Like ...' event. These events, initiated by the export agency for the Grand Duchy's music Music:LX, involve concerts by Luxembourg musicians or bands, with the added possibility for professionals in the music industry in other countries to meet Luxembourgish performers.
Three bands from the Grand Duchy will take to the stage to entertain the Brussels audience: Mutiny On The Bounty, a rock band that already has a good number of international tours under its belt, Say Yes Dog, an indie-electro-pop band that has just released its first album, and Fox, a new band with pop and classic rock influences. Entrance to the concert is completely free of charge.
The bands will be performing at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, a pair of concert halls in the heart of the Belgian capital just a ten minutes' walk from the central railway station. The venue has been in existence for more than a hundred years, which makes it a cultural monument in central Brussels.
Music:LX is the export agency for the Grand Duchy's music; it provides financial support for Luxembourgish musicians performing in other countries. It also acts as an agency to promote Luxembourgish performers in other countries, forging links between Luxembourgish artists and professionals in the music industry. This is the background for the 'Luxembourg Sounds Like ...' events.
