Following a call for tenders, the Ministry of the Economy has put the operating of the 'Luxembourg House' in the hands of the economic interest grouping (E.I.G.) Lëtzebuerg Design, starting in 2016. This new operator takes over from the company Luxair, whose contract came to an end on 31 December 2015.

D'Filmakademie officially unveiled the list of nominations for the next Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis to be held on 5 March 2016 at Luxembourg City's Grand Théâtre. 9 short films, 16 coproductions, 4 Luxembourg feature films, 9 documentaries, 3 animated feature films and 3 animated short films will compete to win a trophy. In total the academy has selected 30 nominations including 14 nominations for the prize for best artistic contribution and 16 for the prize for best technical contribution.
